Accommodations in Penticton range from motels and hotels to privately owned vacation homes. Many visitors to Penticton prefer renting a vacation home directly from an owner so they can have more room and are able to save money by cooking their own meals. This is especially attractive for families who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford an Okanagan vacation. Penticton vacation rentals are very inviting to triathletes, because renting a home or condo with a kitchen gives them the freedom to prepare special meals for their diet before the race. Also rentals from owners for accommodations during Ironman are usually more quiet, and restful than the average hotel.
